A lagoon town of Etruscan foundation, surrounded by water and canals, its most significant and representative monument, with its five steps, is the architectural complex of the Trepponti. To visit the Duomo, the fourteenth-century Clock Tower, the Loggia of Merchants, some beautiful palaces, the Loggiato dei Cappuccini with its 142 arches, the Museo del Carico della Nave Romana and the ancient Manifattura dei Marinati.
